Travel in to the city centre from Valencia airport
Taxi: It’s around a 20 minute drive and the fare is approx 30 euro upward
Metro: Metro Lines 3 or 5 to Xativa stop in the centre. Approx 25 mins journey.
Bus: L150 (yellow bus) towards Avenida del Oeste Roger de Flor. It leaves roughly every 28 mins and takes around a 30 minute drive. Cost is roughly 5 euros and accepted in cash only!
Travel to the City of Science area from Valencia airport
Taxi: It’s around a 15 minute drive and the fare is 30 euros upward.
Metro: Metro Lines 3 or 5 to stop Xativa in the city centre (takes approx 25 min), then a 10 min walk to Line 10, stop Alacant takes approx 12 mins. The journey takes around 50 mins.Bus: Metro Line 3 to stop Alameda takes approx 25 mins. Next, walk to EMT bus stop ‘Porta de la Mar -Navarro Reverter (Parell) to take the number 95 bus towards Marina Real and get off at either stop 'Les Arts' or 'Ciutat de La Justicia'.
You can buy and top-up a rechargeable ticket from a machine, or serviced booth of Metro stations, and the ticket can be used by individual or multiple people, with each person tapping in and out of the entry/exit gates. An entry and exit is equal to one fare paid (unless you are transferring to the extension line 10 on the Metro). Passes can be recharged at machines or some tobacconists.You can find the Metro Zones Map here
Taxis can be hailed from the roadside, green lights indicate the taxi is unoccupied. Many accept payment both by card or cash.
